Mainstream Canada, the Canadian arm of Norwegian fish farm company Cermaq has made application to use 55 hectares in Clayoquot Sound.
Although fish farming has recently changed jurisdiction from Provincial to Federal - the tenure for foreshore and for seabed rights are still through the Province.
The public comment period on this application closes on July 22, 2011 - next Friday. It appears that the only way to make comments is through this website - so please do so! There are two documents attached to this page - with images of the applications.
