Call for Nominations: Order of British Columbia

Dear Saanich South,

Do you know someone who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, excellence and distinction in their particular fields?

Nominate them for the 2014 Order of British Columbia!

Nominations must be received by the first Friday in March to be considered for this year.

The nominations are considered by an independent Advisory Council, chaired by the Chief Justice of BC.

The OBC was established in 1989 and since then, 345 British Columbians have received the Province's highest award, including six residents of Saanich South:
  • 1999 - Jean Jacques AndrĂ© - Artist
  • 1999 - Eric Charman - Community Service
  • 2000 - Vicky Husband - Environmental Leader
  • 2010 - Dan Doyle - Provincial public servant, transportation engineer
  • 2010 - Jeneece Edroff - Youth active in community service
  • 2013 - Gregory Fahlman - World renowned astronomy researcher
